Side folding security grilles are typically used to secure countertop opening, as an extra level of security at exterior doors or windows or at large wall opening as in mall, school or health facilities. Depending on layout and fire regulations, they can be secured from the interior by thumb latch or from the exterior by keylock. The side folding security grilles can include bi-parting options or emergency egress swinging doors. Open air models will require solid panels for, and around, bi-fold openings or swing open doors to ensure no one can reach through the open spaces to unlatch the grille. Side folding security grilles can be stacked in various configurations to one side or both, in pockets or simply stacked on their own. The track can be surface mounted or recessed.
